Bio:
Micaila started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in January of 2008, under David Ruiz of Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. With no background in any martial arts, first taste of jiu-jitsu and she was hooked. During the day Micaila is the CEO of a successful green lighting company, Pure Lighting, and by night she trains with the best and focuses. Micaila is currently a three stripe blue belt, and not ready to stop anytime short of getting her black belt.

• Colorado State Jiu Jitsu Championship 2008 - 1st place gi division (white belt)
• Colorado Open 2008 - 1st place gi division (white belt)
• World Gi Championship 2008 - 3rd place gi (white belt)
• US National Cup 2008 - 2nd place blue belt

• Tournament of Champions 2009 - 3rd place gi divison (blue belt)
(this was open weight and open belt, lost to Tammy Greco 6 time world champ purple belt)

• Colorado State Jiu Jitsu Championship 2009 - 1st place gi division and 1st place absolute gi division (blue belt)
• Colorado Open 2009 - 1st place gi division (blue belt)
